Tractor Brewing Company- Since 1999, we have been brewing award winning beers in New Mexico. Get plowed and join us in living the craft life.

New Mexico Hard Cider- understands the value of supporting and purchasing from local farmers. We have teamed up with a few orchards around the state to provide you with quality hard cider that is pressed from New Mexico apples, whenever available. Weather conditions in New Mexico can be hard to predict- but when conditions are right and apples are available, we are committed to sourcing our apples from within the state.

THE CIDERS:

Tractor Brewing Berry Cider- We start with the juice from the same apples we use for our Hard Apple Cider and add a hundred pounds of fresh berries. Strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, and raspberries in this favorite cider and a tart berry flavor that is refreshing and crisp. Our berry cider usually packs a punch at 7.0 ABV, but is deceivingly light in body and taste.
Delicious Red Apple Hard Cider- Synchronized flavors and carbonation cultivate the palate without the effect of tongue fatigue. Whether sitting, standing, hitching or pulling, this toe tapping cider won’t wear wobbly. Some secrets of its stamina are known, more become apparent when you see and try it for yourself. Even if you’ve been drinking ciders for as long as we have, there’s a fresh new thrill waiting for you. It is tastier, smoother, more golden in color, and more flavorful than anything else in its class.
Blood Orange Cider- A testament to the Sandia sunset with its pinkish hazy hue, this is a cider perfect for picnics on the lawn or grill outs with friends. Sweet yet semi tart its crisp clean refreshing finish is pronounced with the citrus flavors of the blood orange.

THE CIDER:

Farmer Monte's Hard Cider- Perfect simplicity. Our hard apple cider is nothing more than a journey of simplicity. Organic apples harvested ripe, milled and pressed into a thick stream of almost amber honey. The leftover fruit pomace leaves immediately to feed our hungry pigs. Within the fresh cider, the yeast cells start going to work and turn all of the apple’s sugars into CO2 and alcohol. And just like that, with no brewing, cooking or distilling, you have hard apple cider. With one sip you are reminded of green apples and fresh cut grass.

New Mexico is a state located in the southwest and western regions of the United States. New Mexico is also usually considered one of the Mountain States. New Mexico is the 5th most extensive, the 36th most populous, and the 6th least densely populated of the 50 United States. Inhabited by indigenous peoples of the Americas for many centuries before European exploration, New Mexico was subsequently part of the Imperial Spanish vice royalty of New Spain, then part of Mexico, and a U.S. territory before attaining statehood. Among U.S. states, New Mexico has the highest percentage of Hispanics, including descendants of Spanish colonists and recent immigrants from Latin America. It also has the second-highest percentage of Native Americans after Alaska, and the fourth-highest total number of Native Americans after California,Oklahoma, and Arizona. The tribes in the state consist of mostly Navajo and Pueblo peoples. As a result, the demographics and culture of the state are unique for their strong Hispanic and Native-American influences, both of which are reflected in the state flag. The red and gold colors of the New Mexico flag are taken from the flag of Spain, along with the ancient sun symbol of the Zia, a Pueblo-related tribe. While not usually noted for the number of its apple orchards, eight cidermakers have opened to take advantage of what excellent apples the state does have to offer.

Desert Dogs Brewery and Cidery Taproom- Not far from the Plaza, where businesses typically cater to tourist traffic, there’s a new taproom aiming to catch the eye of young locals with new or unusual craft drinks. What started as joke-like banter between New Mexico Hard Cider owner Craig Moya and Boese Brothers Brewing Co.’s Sam and George Boese about opening a new bar eventually led to a budding business partnership, Desert Dogs Brewery and Cidery. The taproom, which opened on San Francisco Street Sept. 1, offers favorites from both Moya’s Cerrillos Road cider-based pub and Boese Brothers’ popular Albuquerque bar/brewery, in addition to new drinks that have been developed collaboratively.

Skarsgard Farms-  began when my great-granddad, Tollef Skarsgard, immigrated from Norway in 1906. After jumping off the boat, Tollef learned English and got an education. The third thing he did, broke ground on a farm in Makoti, North Dakota. That was in the spring of 1912. Since then, four generations of Skarsgards have kept the farm in production and the fields green for over 100 seasons. Reflecting back, I feel humble knowing how much hard work went into making this farm persevere over the decades.

Santa Fe Cider Works- Just as a good wine  shouldn't  taste like grape juice, a good hard cider  shouldn't  taste like apple juice!  Santa Fe Cider  Works  makes cider for the elevated palate.  We press local apples on site to create our ciders and leave the finished product unfiltered.  Filtering removes flavor components which add complexity to both the aroma and flavor of the cider. You won’t find any mass production or shortcuts here. We would never add artificial flavors or coloring to our ciders, and we only use fresh pressed juice.  Not to be redundant, but can you imagine drinking a wine made from “grape juice concentrate”? All our ciders are handcrafted in small batches, and we even hand label each bottle with the batch number and the date we pressed the apples.  We believe apples are good enough on their own and after fermentation with an authentic English cider yeast – they’re even better!  We keep it simple and traditional so the apples can shine through in every sip.
