Thistly Cross Cider- Born out of a passion for making cider in the best possible way, belief in the quality of Scottish produce and asking ‘Why not?’ came Thistly Cross Cider; Scotland’s award winning farmhouse ciders. Established as a collaboration between farmer, Ian Rennie, and artist-turned-cidermaker, Peter Stuart, in 2008, Thistly Cross has gained a reputation for making ciders that people rave about.
We take care over each step of the cider-making process; from pressing the apples and fermenting with the finest blend of Champagne yeasts, to maturing the cider for no less than 5 months to achieve that rounded, smooth Thistly Cross taste. We have the highest standards at every step of the process and compromise nothing for the taste that makes us so deliciously unique.

Scotland- Former US president Woodrow Wilson once said 'Every line of strength in American history is a line colored with Scottish blood', vividly encapsulating the social and cultural ties that have endured and still bind many millions of Americans to Scotland in the 21st century. Scotland would make Bobby Burns proud when alongside its Scotch and hagis you find some excellent cider. Cider is made in Scotland mainly by small producers, such as Thistly Cross and Waulkmill Cider. The apples are sourced in Scotland and the resultant brews are mainly sold near to the place of origin. Thistly Cross produce many fruit flavoured ciders which are now being sold in Scottish Waitrose stores and elsewhere. Waulkmill Cider is made only with apples collected from within Dumfries and Galloway, and is mainly sold at farmers markets and festivals.
